2009 Ford Escape Hybrid

Ford escape hybrid hybrid in atlantaPeople quickly lost interest in the first Ford Escape when it debuted in 2001. Although the Escape looked modern, the latest lacked refinement. In an attempt to revamp the Ford Escape, Ford has made some recognizable upgrades that should not lack attention.

So what is new?  Improved Escapes have a new rear anti-roll bar, more power in their four cylinder, and V6 and Hybrid versions.  Not to mention modified steering, brakes, and aerodynamics.  The 2009 Escapes also come with up to date technology like navigation, Sync, and Sirius Travel Link. Sirius Travel link offers real-time weather radar maps, movie listings, sports scores, low gas pricing monitors, and gas station locators. In addition the Sirius system allows hands free cell phone hook up, DVD capabilities and MP3 hook up. This current technology system will soon be included in the Ford Flex as well.

As far as under the hood improvements, Ford has enlarged the Escape’s basic engine from a 2.3 to a 2.5L and added variable timing for intake valves, and increases the horsepower from 153 to 171. For the Hybrid Escapes, the engine is a 2.5L, increasing the hp from 155 to 177.
